My sign strongly reflects my motivation for coming to the March: I was and I am determined to let myself be heard! In the past, I have encountered negativity from others as well as from myself for talking very openly about my eating disorder. Showing up to the March proudly was my way of celebrating the victory over my disorder but mostly over my shame. No woman should ever have to keep quiet!
